Parenting Tip:

So you messed up with your kids. You blew it big time and you feel as if all of your hard work these past days has just been thrown down the drain. What do you do? That’s simple. You give yourself a break and you move on.

After all, we tell our kids that mistakes are made so that we can learn – why can’t we take our own advice? You are going to make mistakes. There is no question about that. The only question that matters is how you will handle yourself when you do. Will you throw up your hands in resignation or will you learn what you need to learn and move on?

According to Emerson, you should…“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.” We could do worse.
