Alzheimer’s Foundation of America names November 14th the day for the National Commemorative Candle Lighting. It is a one-of-a-kind inspirational event that unites communities across the country in lighting Candles of Care to remember and honor individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias–and to shed light on the rising incidence of the brain disorder.

Together we can care for the nation by lighting Candles of Care.

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s National Screening Day marks the focal point of our national initiative to promote early detection and intervention for those concerned about memory loss.

Organizations across the country provide free, confidential screenings to individuals concerned about memory problems, and education about Alzheimer’s disease and successful aging. The results are not a diagnosis, but are an important first step toward proper detection and treatment.
